Here lies the Dexter family

Though many believe this structure to be one of Spring Grove cemetery's chapels (I did, when I first saw it), it is actually a private family crypt. The Dexter Mausoleum, resembling a Gothic cathedral, was designed by Cincinnati architect James Keyes Wilson over a four year period (1865-1869), and was commissioned to resemble Sainte Chapelle in Paris. This is the resting place of Mr. Dexter, a German immigrant and "whiskey baron," and his family.
The tomb was constructed of sandstone, a notoriously weak building material. Despite various attempts at restoration and preservation, the structure continues a relentless journey toward decay and stands under the threat of eventual demolition.

An Amish family on a Morning Stroll
I am a professional storyteller and this is a morning shot at one of the events I participated in the "Trail of Courage" near Rochester ,Indiana. This Amish family was walking along with the father backing everyone up. It was a telephoto shot since the Amish do not like their photos taken.
